There’s growing interest in creativity and innovation, but is there a role for L&D? Just what are we talking about, anyway? In this mini-conference, we’re unpacking the keys to creativity and innovation: informal and social learning. Why? Because when you’re creating - research, design, trouble-shooting - you don’t know the answer when you start: it’s learning! We’ll work our way through individual, team, and community implications, as well as from skills to long-term culture issues. We won’t sugar-coat it; we’ll talk about what works, what’s challenging, and what the best successes have shared to date. You’ll hear from folks who’ve succeeded, and also failed, to learn the necessary lessons. Most importantly, we’ll make the case that there are principled and practical reasons for L&D to lead the charge. Some join the future of L&D!
